Test results

We encourage all patients to be responsible and follow up on all tests performed.

Results of tests are available telephonically, between 11.30am and 2.30pm.

The nursing staff do not have the authority to release the details of your results. They can only notify you if these results are normal or abnormal. You will need to make an appointment to discuss your results in detail, with your treating doctor.

Telephone calls

Burrum Street Medical Practice is accessible by telephone during business hours. Medical advice is available during these hours. If the doctor is unavailable, reception staff will take your details and inform the doctor concerned. The doctor, nurse or reception staff will return your call.

Reminder system

Burrum Street Medical Practice is committed to preventative care. From time to time, we may issue a reminder notice to offer you a preventative health service appropriate to your care. Should you not wish to receive these notices, please notify reception.

Zero Tolerance Policy

We support a Zero Tolerance Policy in our practice. Our vision is for our doctors and staff to work in an environment where everyone feels safe, valued, respected and treated with dignity. We are committed to nurturing a culture that is free from any form of microaggressions, bullying and harassment. Should you choose to ignore this, you will be asked to leave and find alternative healthcare facility.
